Awarded Blade Magazine's Overall Knife of the Year, the Kershaw Tyrade model 1850 has will surely be a hit for years to come. The blade of this knife has been fused with two different metals. On the cutting surface is a slab of CPM-D2. Behind the cutting surface is 154CM. What is so cool about this idea is that it puts the good, expensive cutting metal up in the front and the cheaper, filler material in the back. This minimizes waste and saves material costs. The handle is made of Titanium and is dressed with carbon fiber inlays. The blade mechanism of the Kersahw Tyrade is equipped with double torsion bars that deploy the blade quickly when you use the index finger pull on the spine.
